We are seeking a motivated Staff Engineer - Cloud Test to join our networking team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in networking, particularly BGP and cloud networking across multiple public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers. Position Responsibilities: Network Testing: Design, develop, and execute tests for cloud networking and security products, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and scalability standards. Infrastructure Automation with Terraform: Design, provision, and manage scalable cloud-based test environments using Terraform across AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or OCI to enable repeatable and automated test deployments. Network Issue Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex networking, cloud infrastructure, and performance-related issues across distributed systems. CI/CD & Automation Enablement: Integrate automated performance and scalability validations into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed test plans, automation documentation, performance benchmarks, and reports to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. Optimize with Open-Source Tools: Use and enhance tools like iperf, ethr, and similar frameworks to measure, benchmark, and improve network performance while identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities. Collaborative Improvements: Work closely with Engineering, SRE, and Platform teams to implement network and infrastructure performance improvements based on test outcomes and production learnings. Continuous Learning and Application: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud networking, infrastructure automation, and testing tools, incorporating relevant practices into testing processes.
