As Senior Director of Major Gifts, you will lead major gift fundraising efforts by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective donors to secure philanthropic support. In this leadership role, you will develop and execute fundraising strategies, build and maintain relationships with major gift prospects, and oversee a team of development professionals. You will collaborate with volunteers, Leadership Board members, and organizational stakeholders to advance fundraising goals while managing related administrative and operational activities. A caregiver in this role works remotely within the Florida area, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with travel throughout the market required. To be considered for this position, candidates must reside in the Florida area surrounding Martin Health North. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Secure philanthropic gifts through a process of identifying, qualifying, strategizing, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects. Manage a team of development professionals, volunteers, Leadership Board members and administrative activities Set vision and implementation strategies for the generation of philanthropic funds for Cleveland Clinic priorities. Promote collaboration between staff. Provide leadership for the effective and efficient operation of are of assigned responsibility. Achieve significant dollar goals; lead the success of campaigns for capital, programmatic, research, endowment and operating support for Cleveland Clinic. Lead overall management of the area and supervises assigned employees. Establish a program of personal visits with past, current and prospective donors, as appropriate. Ensure that donors are properly advised as to the financial options available, projects and needs. Develop funding proposals. Act as leader that is ultimately accountable for complete transfer of funds, property, etc. to Cleveland Clinic. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's degree Ten years of progressively responsible experience in fund raising, direct solicitation and capital campaign environment, including management experience Demonstrated success and experience in fund raising strategies for donor cultivation and direct solicitation Strong leadership and decision-making skills Ability to manage a diverse central service team Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Advanced degree Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
