Minimum Qualifications: Post-high school coursework/training in Criminal Justice or related Behavioral field and three years of progressively responsible corrections experience. Experience or coursework/training in supervision and leadership. Must be able to legally possess firearms and ammunition.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of staff supervisory experience. Experience using KRONOS, or other electronic timekeeping system, in a supervisory capacity. Experience working for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) operates nine institutions statewide housing approximately 5,800 inmates. The department's focus includes inmate programming and education, physical and behavioral health care, re-entry services, and community programs, and is accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA).
With a current vacancy at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) in York, NE (a maximum, medium and minimum custody facility), NDCS is accepting applications for the position of Corrections Lieutenant.
