Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence Studies, Military Science, International Relations, Political Science, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be substituted
BS + 5 years of relevant experience OR
AA/AS + 9 years of relevant experience OR
HS/GED + 11 years of specialized relevant experience
Active TS//SCI security clearance required (must be able to maintain)
Requires completion of formal military intelligence school or IC equivalent school/training
Experience supporting C-sUAS operations, military intelligence activities, or operational planning environments
Demonstrated understanding of threat device engineering and function
Expert understanding of C-sUAS layered defense concepts and operational integration
Proven ability to integrate UAS and C-UAS TTPs into operational and intelligence planning
Ability to identify trends related to target devices and adversary TTPs
Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to generate and deliver specialized analytical and technical products

Detailed understanding of various UAS platforms, including aerial, ground, and maritime systems
Familiarity with C-sUAS detection, tracking, and mitigation technologies
Knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum operations related to C-sUA

Torch Technologies is seeking a Doctrine Writer to join our team and support JIATF 401's Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) mission. This role is responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining military doctrine, operational concepts, and strategic documentation to support evolving C-sUAS operations and mission objectives.
As a Doctrine Writer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Research, draft, revise, and maintain military doctrine, operational concepts, strategies, and supporting documentation related to C-sUAS operations.
Conduct detailed analysis of current and emerging UAS threats, technologies, and operational trends to support doctrine development and operational planning.
Evaluate existing doctrine, TTPs, and operational procedures to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate with military units, government agencies, coalition partners, and subject matter experts to ensure doctrine products remain operationally relevant and aligned with mission objectives.
Support mission planning efforts through doctrine integration, mission analysis, strategic assessments, and operational recommendations.
Develop reports, briefings, presentations, visual aids, and technical documentation for senior military and government leadership.
Facilitate working groups, planning sessions, and stakeholder engagements to gather feedback and incorporate operational lessons learned into doctrine products.
Gather, analyze, and synthesize operational data, threat reporting, and technological developments to support strategic recommendations and mission effectiveness.
Monitor developments in military strategy, international relations, emerging technologies, and C-sUAS capabilities to ensure doctrine remains current and adaptive.
Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance doctrine development efficiency, effectiveness, and version control processes.
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and configuration management for doctrine development and review activities.
Ensure all doctrine products comply with applicable security regulations, operational guidance, and organizational standards.
Operate effectively in dynamic, high-tempo environments with shifting priorities and short deadlines.
