An excellent opportunity for a Material Delivery Manager to join the Operations team at Leonardo Helicopters and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of aircraft build programmes.
As the Material Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering material supply to the aircraft build facility, ensuring programme milestones and aircraft deliveries are achieved on time and within financial budgets.
You will act as the primary material point of contact for a Programme Integrated Project Team (IPT), ensuring all business stakeholders are fully informed of material status, associated risks, and any required escalations.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong planning, and stakeholder management capabilities within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
You will also lead and support a small team, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into people management.

What you will do as a Material Delivery Manager:
Manage, motivate and develop a team based on the aircraft production line who are responsible for ensuring parts arrive in line with the aircraft build schedule, ensuring material issues are escalated appropriately and appropriate material solutions are executed.
Ensure the booking of hours and head count for material deliver team is in line with company budgets and work to resolve any discrepancies.
Coordinate and lead material projects with other business departments including Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, MRP, Aircraft Management and Programmes to deliver material solutions.
Integrated proactively within the IPT structure for a Programme or Programmes to provide clear transparent communicate of the material status and risks facing the Programme to the whole business.
Provide professional advice to the business on material issues and recommend solutions to improve business effectiveness.
Requirements
Proven experience in material delivery, supply chain, planning, or production control
Ability to influence and negotiate with others using facts and evidence.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Detailed understanding of material processes and their impact on the wider business
The confidence and ability to challenge material issues
Excellent problem-solving skills
