About the role
The Workday Reporting Analyst is a key contributor within the HR Data & Analytics team, responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable Workday reporting and analytics that enable HR and business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions. The Workday Reporting Analyst partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business questions into meaningful metrics, dashboards, and reports. This role also champions data quality, reporting standards, and data literacy while continuously optimizing reporting capabilities within Workday. Your tasks: Workday Reporting & Analytics Design, develop, test, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions, including Advanced and Matrix reports, Calculated Fields, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and Slides. Build and maintain Prism Analytics datasets and data transformations, ensuring governed, reliable data inputs into Workday. Translate complex business requirements into clear, measurable reporting solutions that deliver actionable insights. Develop and maintain reporting that measures the effectiveness of HR initiatives across core HR systems including Human Capital Management, Talent/Performance Management, Learning, Recruiting/Applicant Tracking, Compensation, and Employee Engagement. Perform advanced data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis to support both recurring and ad hoc reporting needs. Data Governance, Quality & Standards Champion data quality, consistency, and integrity across reports, metrics, hierarchies, and definitions. Partner with HR stakeholders and data owners to support data governance practices, identify data quality gaps, and implement sustainable improvements. Establish and maintain Workday reporting documentation, including report definitions, standard methodologies, and job aids for end users. Promote consistent adoption and correct interpretation of HR metrics and dashboards. Self-Service Enablement & Data Literacy Coach and enable HR partners and stakeholders on Workday reporting functionality, fostering confidence in data-driven decision making. Advance the development and adoption of self-service reporting and analytics, with a strong focus on usability and user experience (UX). Serve as a trusted analytics partner, helping stakeholders move from data requests to insight-based conversations. Cross-Functional Partnership & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with cross-functional and multi-geographic teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions aligned to business needs. Evaluate, enhance, and optimize existing reports, dashboards, and tools to improve efficiency, performance, and stakeholder experience. Leverage enterprise BI tools where appropriate to extend analytical capabilities beyond Workday. Apply continuous improvement principles (Lean, Agile, root-cause analysis) to standardize processes and improve reporting delivery. Your profile: 5+ years of experience in Workday Reporting and Analytics, including hands-on experience with Prism Analytics, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and Slides. Strong working knowledge of Workday HCM and experience supporting additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Learning, Compensation, and Payroll. Demonstrated experience aggregating and analyzing data across multiple sources and reporting tools. Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivots; macros a plus) and experience performing ad hoc analysis. Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Working knowledge of data platforms and technologies such as SQL and cloud data environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and data insights to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
