Position Summary
The selected individual will have two major functions: (a) handle paralegal aspects of disputes and litigation, from inception through discovery and trial; and (b) provide contracting support and administration. This individual will also be expected to provide general paralegal assistance, such as assistance with transactions, closings, regulatory analysis, and legal research to all OGC attorneys.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Organize and manage litigation files; gather organize and index documents and information related to litigation; maintain calendars and docketing system to meet deadlines; attend meetings, hearings and trials as needed; perform electronic research; assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial; prepare deposition and case summaries and other reports related to pending litigation.
Manage and administer a large volume of contracts of different types; maintain a database to track key contract terms, such as renewal and termination dates and money flows; review, summarize and evaluate contracts organize and maintain contract files; perform initial review of contracts and agreements, for subsequent attorney review; draft routine contracts and amendments under attorney supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.
