Responsibilities

  • Design, layout, and test innovative photonic devices

Requirements

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics or similar disciplines
  • 8 years and a Master's degree; PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics
  • In-depth knowledge of photonic devices and their modeling algorithms
  • Experience with large-scale photonic layouts using industry standard and/or custom tools
  • Demonstrated track record of ownership of integrated silicon photonics components
  • Proficiency with photonic simulation tools such Ansys FDTD, Tidy3D, Photon Design or similar
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills, specifically pertaining to problems that do not have obvious solutions
  • Strong project execution skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet project milestones.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in problems that do not have obvious solutions
  • We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
  • Salary Range: total compensation goes beyond base salary, it also includes a new hire equity grant, annual performance-based equity, and other rewards that recognize your impact and contribution.
  • $170,000 - $230,000 USD
