Responsibilities

  • Drive the leasing of promotional spaces, pushcarts/kiosks, and vending machines across assigned malls, ensuring alignment with standard operating procedures and business goals.
  • Identify, source, and secure suitable short-term tenants and pop-up concepts that complement the overall trade mix and customer experience.
  • Execute strategic plans for casual leasing, including driving occupancy targets and optimizing revenue from short-term leasing activities.
  • Collaborate with the retail marketing team to integrate casual leasing opportunities with seasonal campaigns, mall events, and brand activations to boost footfall and visibility.
  • Support the planning and implementation of tenancy mix strategies to enhance mall vibrancy, ensuring alignment with broader retail positioning and customer expectations.
  • Manage and mentor a team (if applicable), providing guidance in handling leasing enquiries, prospecting tenants, and negotiating lease terms.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform leasing strategies and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, tenants, and industry stakeholders to create a pipeline of attractive retail offerings.
  • Ensure leasing activities comply with internal policies, financial targets, and brand standards.
  • Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management, including recommendations for improving leasing effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in retail or commercial leasing, with added advantage for candidates familiar with short-term/pop-up leasing or partnership-driven activations.
  • Strong understanding of retail marketing principles, consumer trends, and how leasing strategies can complement mall campaigns and promotions.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to plan and execute integrated leasing initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect leasing strategies to broader brand and marketing objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, creative, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment.
