About the role
Support a safe working environment by proactively identifying and addressing potential safety concerns. Assist in planning, preparing, and executing Traditional and FastChain production schedules to enable on‑time packaging and delivery. Drive process optimization, cost reduction, and innovation through new technologies, best practices, and operational learnings. Develop, design, validate, and qualify packaging and labeling processes and equipment to ensure efficiency, quality, and cGMP compliance. Monitor and analyze KPIs for packaging and distribution, implementing data‑driven improvements to enhance performance and efficiency. All other duties as assigned. The Candidate: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) with a minimum of 1 year of experience in process engineering or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; Masters degree in Engineering may be considered with no prior experience. Experience in GMP related industry is highly preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of clinical or pharmaceutical packaging and supply services highly preferred. Demonstrated professionalism with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills when interacting with internal teams and external clients. Ability to anticipate and identify unmet customer and departmental needs, follow instructions in various formats, and lead by example in alignment with Catalent's values. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and communicate clearly with peers, managers, and customers. Physical & Working Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently; lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs; kneel and reach occasionally; must have 20/30 corrected vision. Work may involve occasional exposure to extreme cold (refrigerators and freezers), hazards, humidity, wet conditions, and temperature changes, with frequent exposure to low-moderate noise levels. The anticipated salary range for this role in California is $82,000 - $90,000.
