Be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Americas regional applied development team with other global and regional groups
Drive continuous improvement within the team
Evaluate design decisions and work collaboratively across multiple teams
Work with the team to maintain high productivity and low turnover
Develop training and succession plans for the group
Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
Technical Leadership
Ownership of electrical architecture for control panels / power distribution (single-line diagrams, panel layouts, wiring schematics)
Manage regional development, help select and integrate third-party products, ensure products meet the defined customer requirements of teams are being met, and ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements such as UL 508a and the NEC
Program / Delivery / NPI
Provide excellent communication and organizational skills within a team environment
Support Design Reviews for NPI projects
Work closely with development and project teams to plan and track work
Define, track, and report Key Performance Indicators
Define, track, and report on the group budget
Collaborate with the business team to develop roadmaps for future product work, including the required resources
Advise management of anything that may affect schedule, costs, or inter-departmental relations
Develop standard procedures for key NPI deliverables
Evaluate and support implementation of new digital tools
Requirements
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of management experience, leading diverse teams
2+ years working in an Agile development environment
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical literature and safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional employees in the organization, including remote employees in other countries
Ability to apply basic engineering principles to solve problems
Able to collect and report data and use data to drive decision making

Understanding of/experience with HVAC systems
Experience in product development power systems and control panels
Experience integrating with third-party controls products, especially UL components
Experience working with global development projects
Experience with requirements management
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience leading Agile teams
