2+ years of experience in ITS and technology applications in transportation.
Experience in ITS and TSMO planning, systems engineering analysis, connected and automated vehicle technology, and smart mobility solutions.
Experience with fiber and wireless network, CCTV, DMS, and traffic signal design.
Experience in traffic engineering, traffic signal operations, timing, and system performance.
Experience in developing plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external clients.

AECOM is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota . This position offers opportunities to work on exciting, challenging, and high-profile ITS and emerging technology projects.
This position will assist with a wide range of ITS related projects, including research, planning, design, and deployment of ITS and emerging technologies, including connected and automated vehicle technologies.
Job Responsibilities
Works as part of a team and works independently in evaluating and applying ITS principles, standards, and criteria.
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tasks.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain license within two years.
