JOB TITLE SUMMARY Job Title: Coordinator, Campus Recreation Division: Student Affairs Evaluation Group: Staff FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Manager, Campus Recreation Positions Supervised: Student Employee(s) Job Summary The coordinator of campus recreation is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the intramural sports program. This position also directly supervises the intramural program's student employees. In addition, this role oversees nightly operations of Evans Commons Campus Recreation Center and assists with other campus recreation tasks as needed. Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution Supervises the Evans Commons Recreation Center during evening hours; secures and locks entire building nightly Conveys any reported or witnessed crimes to the appropriate parties Oversees evening group exercise classes Maintains Evans Commons Recreation Center music and announcement service Oversees day-to-day working of intramural sports programs, including development, scheduling, and overall procedures Assigns tasks to student employees Assists with summer camps held in Evans Commons Recreation Center Assists in creating, implementing, and disseminating building rules and procedures Assists with various aspects of running the Campus Recreation department, including ongoing assessment and data management for all associated programs, activities, and individuals Assists in the training and supervision of student employees, including disciplinary and termination processes Assists in the managing of social media platforms for Campus Recreation Service Excellence Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University's values Supports Lindenwood students by providing and maintaining a space that allows for student development outside of the classroom Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration Communicates any issues in the building with the building director Helps solve disputes in Evans Commons Recreation Center and within intramural sports programs Assists with the development and execution of departmental plans, goals, and assessment Job may require other duties as assigned.
