The Canada Sales team is looking for a Principal (Strategic) Key Account Sales Representative for apparel located in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the National Sales Director, Apparel, this role will manage all sales functions for the key account(s) to ensure business growth meets or exceeds sales plans. Sales functions include account financial planning, assortment planning, developing and implementing sales plans, managing inventory needs for future production, coordinating seasonal line reviews, working closely with Account Services to manage the order book, and collaborate with the Product team to ensure account(s) needs are met. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Manage all sales functions for the assigned sales categories and key accounts including planning seasonal assortments, developing and implementing sales plans. Working closely with account buyers and analysts in season to monitor sell through and inventory and identify opportunities for enhanced growth. Collaborate with our Marketing and Demand Planning teams to align seasonal apparel initiatives with customer plans. Become the point person for driving sales growth of Columbia at designated key accounts. Regular communication with manager and all cross functional partners. YOU ARE A strong individual contributor with a proven track record of driving results. Creative in recommending solutions to key stakeholders cross functionally and with customers. Capable of building and executing effective sales plans for sustainable and profitable growth. Effective in communicating, orally and in writing. Confident in presenting to groups and individuals internally and externally, in person and virtually. YOU HAVE Post-secondary education or equivalent experience 5-8 years of sales experience Strong technical proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Power BI, and visual merchandising tools Broad knowledge of the outdoor and sportswear industry, sales principles, practices, procedures, and product innovations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with proprietary, private, and confidential information The availability to travel over night, within Canada and the USA, on a quarterly basis Flexibility with your schedule including evening meetings and occasional weekend work The ability to work both on-site at our showroom in Calgary, Alberta, as well as remotely SALARY RANGE $110,000 - $130,000 annually *Salary decisions are determined by multiple factors, including a candidate's capabilities and skills, current market rate for the position, years of experience, and internal equity. #SPO This job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function in the company.
