Provide evidence-based therapy-both in person and digitally-from our Halifax office , using solution-focused, brief, and longer-term modalities customized to each client's needs and goals.
Support clients through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Total Mental Health (TMH) programs, addressing complex presentations including mental health disorders, addictions, relationship concerns and workplace stress
Apply strength-based, client-centered approaches that honor diverse backgrounds and empower individuals to achieve meaningful change
Maintain clinical autonomy while collaborating with a Regional Clinical Supervisor who supports your professional development
Engage in ongoing clinical consultation, peer learning and access to continuing education opportunities
Use digital systems to work efficiently, while leveraging initiative and adaptive problem-solving to respond effectively when processes require adjustment.
Serve as the Health & Safety Representative for the office, collaborating with management on workplace safety protocols
What You Bring
Required:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
Minimum five years of post-master's direct clinical experience with diverse populations and presenting concerns
Current registration in good standing with one of the following: Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists NSCCT or Nova Scotia College of Social Workers ( NSCSW)
Strong clinical competency in solution-focused therapy, brief interventions, and longer-term modalities.
Ability to establish therapeutic rapport quickly with clients from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
Excellent clinical judgment, self-direction, and comfort working independently in a high-volume practice setting.
Proficiency with electronic health records and digital clinical tools.
Commitment to evidence-informed practice, ethical standards, and continuous professional development.
Experience working with blue-collar or trades populations and familiarity with workplace-related trauma preferred.
Highly organized, solution-oriented, and able to adapt to dynamic scheduling and caseload demands.
Great-to-haves:
Clinical experience with substance use disorders and addiction counselling.
Previous experience in EAP, workplace mental health, or integrated care settings.
Familiarity with local community resources and service networks.
