About the role

Full-time | 40 hours per week | Vienna Headquarters, Austria Your contribution will be * Recording financial transactions, process invoices and banking activities, and maintain supporting documentation in line with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls * Performing reconciliations and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate accounting records and timely resolution of discrepancies and compliance-related matters * Preparing financial statements, management reports, cash flow forecasts, and other reporting deliverables while supporting liquidity planning and cross-functional financial coordination * Reviewing contracts and financial documentation, coordinate audit and compliance activities, and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the finance function Your profile ideally illustrates * Several years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or a similar financial operations role with good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing activities, audit processes, compliance requirements, and basic tax implications * Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with accounting certifications considered an advantage * Experience with accounting systems and strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, combined with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills * Professional proficiency in English required, while German language skills are considered an advantage * Passion for animal welfare and identification with FOUR PAWS' vision and mission Our offer includes * The opportunity to truly contribute to global animal welfare * An international, dynamic work environment * Flexible working times with the option of partial remote work * A dog-friendly workplace * Workplace health and wellbeing initiatives * Wiener Linien annual ticket (or partial contribution to Klima Ticket) and pension fund after probationary period * PAWSdays: extra days off at the end of the year on top of your 25 days of annual leave * Birthday leave: extra day off to use around your birthday * The minimum gross annual salary for this position starts at EUR 42,000 (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments), in accordance with our internal compensation scheme We reveal, rescue and protect unique animals from many different species through systems change and by creating species-appropriate environments at our sanctuaries!
