Continue to shift our marketing approach from product-based to needs-based storytelling, with measurable impact and ROI.
Lead events strategy and execution including pre-, during-, and post-event activities to maximize return on investment.
Identify opportunities to expand Filene's reach and visibility through partnerships, media, and public relations.
Oversee analytics implementation and reporting, translating data into decisions and communicating digital performance to leadership clearly and consistently.
Provide day-to-day leadership for the Marketing team, coaching and developing team members while ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Digital Member Experience
Own the end-to-end digital member experience across web, mobile, and AI-powered platforms from first interaction through ongoing engagement and renewal.
Lead the evolution of Filene.org as a digital product: a research delivery platform, engagement hub, and lead-generation engine.
Define and implement a best-in-class digital experience for a membership-driven research organization. Design and optimize digital journeys across audience segments so members encounter the right insights, tools, and experiences at the right time.
Champion UX/UI excellence and establish web design standards across Filene's digital ecosystem.
Ensure Filene's research and insights are discoverable through SEO, GEO, and other AI-driven search environments.
Use digital analytics, experimentation, and behavioral data to continuously improve engagement and conversion across member touchpoints.

Job Description
Filene Research Institute is seeking a senior marketing and digital leader to guide the next phase of our growth and member engagement. Reporting to the CEO, this executive will lead Filene's marketing, digital experience, and audience growth strategy, ensuring our research, insights, and programs reach and resonate with credit union leaders through modern, high-impact digital channels. Filene is evolving from an organization known primarily for publishing world-class research into one that delivers that insights through exceptional digital experiences.
The Chief Marketing & Digital Officer (CMDO) will lead this transformation, shaping a cohesive strategy that integrates brand, marketing, digital product development, data infrastructure, and AI-powered member experiences. This leader will oversee the Marketing team and work closely with the executive leadership team to align marketing, digital platforms, and audience engagement with the organization's strategic priorities. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution and requires someone comfortable operating in a lean organization where digital is treated as a product and marketing is driven by data and a true player/coach who can set direction and drive results.
