Role and Scope of Position: - Will contribute to the legacy and smart Metering and Energy Efficient platforms in a multitude of ways, from architecting phenomenal systems, creating, and encouraging great software development practices engineering-wide, driving strategic technical improvements, and mentoring other engineers. - Responsible to work with internal staff and 3rd party vendors to oversee the development, integration, maintenance, patching and repairing of software and associated infrastructure for maximum efficiency and usability. - Creates or ensures architectural designs exist for systems. - Creates or ensures BC and DR plans exist for systems. - Leads software performance management (measure and improve). - Successfully plan and execute projects involving multiple developers and complex requirements, prioritizing strategically. - Contributes to major architectural decisions and reads all project related tech specs, tracking status and considering implications to other systems. - Spurs and facilitates meaningful discussion around complex issues. - Works with key stakeholders effectively to solve problems and make decisions. - Trusted to always share status with all stakeholders, and proactively remedy communication issues.
