You will help create opportunities for veterans by providing individualized career services, coordinating with community partners, and assisting veteran job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment. Develop, maintain, and update Individual Employment Plans to assist veterans in overcoming significant barriers to employment and achieving employment goals. Conduct outreach to locate and engage veterans with barriers to employment through community partners, correctional facilities, shelters, stand downs, veterans organizations, and other veteran-serving or community-based entities. Coordinate services with community partners, training providers, educational institutions, and internal NDOL programs, as appropriate, to support veteran employment and reemployment outcomes. Screen veterans for appropriate services and eligibility under Jobs for Veterans State Grant requirements and provide referrals to partner programs and supportive services when applicable. Perform case management and provide job seeker assistance, including employment assessments, career planning, referrals, follow-up, and documentation of services provided. Research and provide referrals to appropriate employment, training, reemployment, partner, VA, and other veteran-supportive services, as applicable. Assist veteran job seekers with job search activities, registration, job referrals, employment planning, and follow-up. Plan, implement, and present workshops and informational sessions relevant to veteran job seeker needs. Present information at job fairs, hiring events, community meetings, transition events, and other outreach activities to promote veteran workforce services. Perform data entry and retrieval activities for various programs as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and service records in NEworks and follow agency policies, procedures, JVSG guidance, and required program guidelines. Participate in advisory boards, committees, community organizations, and workforce-related activities that support services to veterans.
