Pay Rate and Schedule: The position includes a total wage extension of $ 25.73 /hour plus a comprehensive Day-One Benefit program. Paid weekly. Paid time-off: Vacation, holiday, and Winter Holiday*. 401K matching AND additional 2-5% annual company contribution*. Openings available on 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 06:00 a.m. - 02:00 p.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. Required Qualification for Consideration: 2 years' experience in a mechanic or assembly field, heavy equipment assembly, or technical school with a focus in a mechanical or manufacturing field. Relevant experiences such as mechanical aptitude in a personal or professional setting must be described in application Top Candidates Will Have: 6 months minimum Caterpillar Paving experience Heavy assembly, manufacturing machines, Caterpillar manufacturing experience or automotive Intermediate or greater proficiency using electronic and digital devices and mediums Experience using mechanical tools including torque tools and operation of crane equipment Understanding of metric units, hydraulics and electrical components Good communication skills Your Role Day to Day: As a Mechanical Technician team member, you will support facility initiatives and daily tasks focused on people, safety, quality, velocity and cost. As a team member, you will be responsible for safely assembling heavy paving products according to model pictures and build instructions utilizing mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time. You will work with team members on identifying, electronically documenting and communicating opportunities for improvement, communicating discrepancies, and recommending solutions. Work with limited supervision.
