Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full‑Stack Engineer with Data Science expertise to join our team. This senior individual will design, build, and operate end‑to‑end production systems spanning web front ends, backend services, APIs, CI/CD, IaC, AI/ML pipelines. The role requires deep experience across cloud platforms, data processing and orchestration, scalable storage and access controls, managed analytics platforms. You will collaborate across product teams and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that accelerate data‑driven product outcomes. What will you do in this role Drive secure software delivery by embedding automated security controls (SonarQube, Wiz) and vulnerability scanning throughout the CI/CD pipeline. Architect and operate scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. Design and build production-grade data and feature pipelines (e.g., Databricks, ETL) with a focus on quality, monitoring, and scalability. Evaluate, prototype, and integrate new tools and frameworks to enhance team capabilities and technical infrastructure. Collaborate cross-functionally with product and stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers to foster team growth. What should you have Bachelors' degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream. 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with infrastructure-as-code Expert-level proficiency in AWS services, Strong experience with AWS data services such as Glue (ETL), Redshift Proficiency with tools like Terraform , Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for building, testing, and deploying code Mastery of Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and code review processes. Experience with security tools(SonarQube, Wiz) integrated into the CI/CD pipeline. Familiarity with cloud provider networking services and best practices (e.g., AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Google Cloud VPC + Shared VPC) Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and operational tasks Understanding of identity and access management concepts and experience implementing IAM at scale in cloud environments Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms and how to integrate them into automated workflows Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and governance considerations for highly regulated industries (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR) is a plus Excellent troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills; experience working with cross-functional global teams We are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
