Install, configure, and maintain OT communications infrastructure supporting field connectivity, including routers, switches, wireless networks, satellite systems, and point-to-point technologies
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and network-related service issues, including outages, latency, and intermittent communication impacting operations
Perform network configuration and restoration activities, including IP addressing, DHCP, port management, and firmware updates
Execute equipment installations, upgrades, rebuilds, and decommissioning activities while validating system functionality and connectivity
Provide direct support for field operations by responding to business-critical incidents and minimizing downtime
Support OT inventory management, equipment staging, and provisioning to ensure readiness for deployment
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure meets operational requirements and supports field performance
Support monitoring systems, telemetry, and automation solutions by maintaining reliable connectivity
Collaborate with OT leadership, operations teams, and vendors to implement infrastructure standards and improve reliability
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure systems meet company standards and performance expectations
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, troubleshooting activities, and incident resolution
Identify recurring issues and contribute to solutions that reduce repeat failures and improve infrastructure performance
Ensure compliance with OT policies, cybersecurity practices, and operational guidelines
Support development of standard operating procedures and documentation for OT infrastructure
Participate in an on-call rotation, including after-hours, weekends, and holiday support as required
Support a 24/7 operational environment requiring rapid response to critical issues
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, including participation in required training and proper use of PPE
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT/OT infrastructure, networking, or field systems support preferred
Experience in oil and gas service industry or industrial field environments preferred
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking and communications infrastructure
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DHCP, routing, switching, and port configuration
Experience with wireless, satellite, and point-to-point communication systems preferred
Experience performing firmware updates, hardware replacements, and system upgrades in operational environments preferred
Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems; knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus, MQTT, serial communications) is a plus
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in demanding, field-based environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and operational teams
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
