Principal Transmission Line Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Transmission Line Engineer to support our growing power team across Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will be a technical leader, delivering transmission line engineering projects and contributing to the broader power business. In this role, you will: Be the technical leader for transmission line engineering projects Work closely with clients to understand their project brief and technical requirements Formulate design solutions for transmission projects from 66kV to 500kV Work proactively to implement innovative solutions Mentor and support the wider transmission design team About You You are a seasoned engineer with a strong foundation in transmission line design and a passion for mentoring others. You bring a broad range of skills that allow you to contribute across the power business, and you're comfortable leading technical delivery and engaging with clients. Your ideal skills and expertise: - Proven experience delivering robust and innovative power engineering designs Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities In-depth understanding of engineering disciplines, regulations, policies and procedures Project management experience and ability to integrate complex systems Knowledge and experience in PLS-CADD or TOWER - essential Ability to develop innovative design solutions for transmission projects ranging from 66kV to 500kV Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
