Materials Manager

About the role

Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and associates with full accountability for performance, development, and team results. Oversee daily warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Ensure accurate and timely receipt of materials and finished goods, maintaining proper documentation and system transactions. Manage outbound shipments to meet customer delivery commitments and service level agreements. Supervise inbound and outbound logistics processes, ensuring compliance with shipping, export, and import requirements. Partner with Supply Chain and Inventory Control teams to support physical inventory accuracy and cycle counting execution. Act as escalation point for operational issues impacting shipments, receiving, or distribution activities. Collaborate with Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Quality teams to ensure smooth material flow. Identify and implement process improvements in warehouse layout, material handling, and labor productivity using Lean principles. Monitor warehouse-related costs, including labor and freight coordination, and drive performance improvement initiatives. Support internal and external audits related to warehouse and logistics processes. Other duties as assigned. Location: Matehuala, San Luis Potosí. About You: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Five to seven years of professional experience in warehouse management, distribution, or logistics within a manufacturing environment. Minimum three years of leadership experience managing warehouse or shipping teams. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and shipping processes. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar. Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required. Strong leadership, analytical, and performance improvement skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
