This is a project management-focused position within the Design & Technical Services function. You'll coordinate complex hotel projects across the region from Economy brand to Premium brand - managing timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and documentation - while maintaining an understanding of construction and design processes. You'll work with real autonomy and direct access to hotel owners, architects and consultants.
The role is based in Budapest with on-site visits across the region based on Technical assistant contract agreed with hotel owners.
Responsibilities
Manage hotel projects across Eastern Europe - construction, renovation, conversion - from the first planning meeting to the final room inspection as owner advises.
Review project plans, timelines, milestones, budget frameworks and consultant responsibilities; track progress and proactively manage risks and delays
Coordinate all stakeholders - hotel owners, architects, interior designers, engineers and internal Accor teams - facilitate alignment and hold everyone accountable for their deliverables
Lead the selection and management of external consultants: define scopes, negotiate fees, and ensure quality of output throughout the project
Oversee design and technical coordination phases: review architectural concepts, interior design documentation, space planning layouts and construction drawings for compliance with Accor brand standards
Work with internal departments (Operations, F&B, Technology, Spa & Wellness, Procurement) to integrate their requirements into each project
Prepare project documentation: design briefs, consultant matrices, milestone reports; organise and present materials for Brand Validation sessions and Design Committees
Review and sign off on materials boards, mock-ups, FF&E schedules and sample approvals
Support final inspections of model rooms and construction milestones to ensure quality and brand compliance
Travel to project sites across the region (flights and car rental covered by Accor)
Work closely with the VP Design & Technical Services and build long-term relationships with owners and consultants across Europe
Advanced (5+ years) project management experience, preferably in hotel design and construction
Background in architecture, civil engineering, interior design or a related technical field
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Autonomous, proactive and comfortable managing several complex projects at once
Fluent English; additional Eastern European languages are an advantage
Willingness to occasionally travel across Eastern Europe (flights and/or rental cars covered by Accor)
Familiarity with AutoCAD or design tools
