Scope of Position This highly experienced individual, as part of the Maintenance department, will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in all operations of the department. Plans and directs the day to day labor responsibilities and prioritizes resources to ensure accuracy and quality. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Germantown, WI. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Lead a positive working environment. Runs the department day-to-day operations. Accountable for Dept. metrics. (SQDCI) Maintains a Safety and Quality mindset. Communicate with Company departments. Delegate operational tasks to team. Communicate with Supervisor of any departmental issues. Understand team metrics and review with Supervisor and employees. Assist Supervisor in employee coaching. Assist Supervisor in onboarding of new team members. Ensure team adherence to all company policies and procedures. Manage ordering department supplies. Inventory management awareness. Technical expert and helps resolve production issues. Facilitate training of all team members on all job functions. Assist in creating and maintaining a problem-solving culture. Expert in all department computer applications. Completes industrial lift truck certifications. Takes ownership of department standards and appearance. Supports new product initiatives Expert in all Standard Operating Procedures for applicable department/cell. Exceeds productivity expectations. Expert understanding of department specific tools and measuring equipment. Assists in leading department meetings effectively. Completes, Manage, Schedules, Preventative Maintenance (PM) program (Limble) Analyzes, diagnoses, troubleshoots, CNC based equipment and mechanical issues. Repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems Perform precision maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment Perform advanced alignment, balancing, and vibration-related mechanical work Support and troubleshoot FANUC robotics cells, including knowledge of safety Install, align, and dismantle machinery and mechanical components Knowledge Mechanical issues on presses, CNC machines, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment, VFDs motors, servos, encoders, and motor control systems Support Mechanical requirements for new equipment installations, line moves, and process changes Diagnose mechanical failures and determine corrective actions Supports new product development at the Maintenance level. Mentor apprentices or maintenance personnel as needed Help create and maintain a positive work environment. Understand and abide by all company safety policies. Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management. Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency) Required Qualifications 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
