Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. POSITION OVERVIEW The Chief Gage Setter is responsible for all Responsible for coordination of Gage Lab functions including training, maintaining Gage Lab inventory, prioritizing work in compliance to Quality Procedures and Calibration Manual requirements. The Chief Gage Setter position will directly impact the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements and/or division. This position significantly impacts Rexnord's ability in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This position reports to the Quality Manager and is a Non-Exempt hourly technical position. JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities) Assist in the development of metrology practices and documentation that ensure product conformity to customer standards. Will be required to post a recall, lost and overdue listing of Inspection, Measurement and Test Equipment, (I, M & TE), in accordance with Quality Procedures and Calibration Manual. Maintains I, M & TE records for verification and ensures calibration on all I, M & TE equipment throughout the plant. Verifies and maintains calibration history record system or computer database for all I, M & TE, as required to meet Quality Procedure, Calibration manual and customer requirements. Works close with operators and production supervisors to ensure timely delivery of gages or presets gages and verifies gage masters to minimize production delays. Performs routine gage maintenance or works close with suppliers and the Purchasing Department to send gages outside for repair work to ensure quality of all I, M & TE. Verify, calibrate and maintain me, M, & TE inventory records and repair work, to meet Quality Procedure, Calibration manual and vendor requirements. Develop and write procedures and work instructions on calibration, operation and setting of I, M & TE and update the Quality Procedure, and/or Calibration manual as necessary. Analyze prints and/or routings for gaging applications and availability. Will be required to order new I M & TE in accordance with the Quality Procedures and Calibration Manual. Follow Ethics and Safety Programs Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs. Adhere to ISO9000 Standards. Job duties include but are not limited to the above. QUALIFICATION / SKILL REQUIRED Education: High School Education or GED Experience: 2-3 years of Gage Setting 1-2 years of calibrating experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus Excellent computer skills: Personal Computer Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power point Proficient with the Internet Above average verbal and written communication skills Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authority Good attendance DENOTES THE KEY ELEMENTS FOR THIS JOB The above statement reflects the general details considered to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
