Responsibilities

  • Follow safety and SOP guidelines: Adhere to OSHA standards, company procedures, and assist with contractor coordination for major repairs and inspections.

Requirements

  • As an HVAC Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure optimal climate conditions for cannabis cultivation, processing, and storage.
  • You'll ensure precise temperature, humidity, and airflow to support healthy plants, top-quality products, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with cultivation and operations teams, you'll help keep systems running efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Technical school certification or 1-2 years of experience in commercial or residential HVAC (required)
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance
  • EPA 608 Universal certification (required)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, dehumidification, and ventilation
  • Understanding of climate control for indoor cultivation, with expertise in temperature and humidity management
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration components of HVAC systems
  • Attention to detail and efficiency, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • You have an HVAC certification (preferred).
  • You've worked in controlled environment agriculture, food processing, or the cannabis industry-a big plus!
  • You have a basic understanding of cannabis industry regulations related to air quality and climate control.
  • You're familiar with Building Management Systems (BMS) and how they integrate with HVAC operations.
  • You have experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including installation, troubleshooting, and programming.
  • You're comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
