The Processing Assistant II role supports the Health and Leave of Absence teams' operational processes. Processing Assistant understands the health and leaves administration process cycle and how the health and leave of absence system works. Understand client specifics and all federal and local laws applicable to services contracted.
Responsibilities
Preparing monthly headcount reports for all clients to support billing activities.
Receiving, organizes, and responds to correspondence from clients and participants.
Processing COBRA and DB&P participant payments, including copying and preparing deposits.
Overseeing postage machine maintenance and ensures timely mailing of client communications and participant letters.
Managing vendor reconciliations and produces reports on activities, while conducting weekly COBRA audits to ensure compliance.
Monitoring leave administration mailboxes and faxes to track new cases, extensions, and updates in the LOA system.
Coordinating leave of absence communications, including sending orientation packages, SINOT employer forms, and return-to-work reminders.
Performing FMLA recertifications, assigns cases to LOA Client Specialists, and supports case management through the 3-point medical contact process.
Providing administrative and HRIS support, including updating employment statuses, processing transactions, and assisting with case tracking.
Collaborating with Health and LOA teams to improve efficiency, service quality, and processes through automation, standardization, and system enhancements.
Requirements
Possess High School Diploma is a must or Bachelors
Possess Communication skills in English and Spanish
Possess Computer literacy and excellent excel skills
Possess Experience or knowledge in Health and Leave of Absence
Possess Analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess Attention to detail.
