Providing legal guidance on import compliance, tariff mitigation, HTS classification, and country of origin determinations.
Collaborating with internal teams and clients on cross-border transactions and trade compliance initiatives.
Managing legal and regulatory issues related to U.S. import and customs compliance.
Staying ahead of global trade regulations to provide proactive counsel.
Requirements
Proven experience advising on U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, and customs compliance.
Strong knowledge of country-of-origin rules, tariffs, and trade regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with technology or manufacturing industries.
Familiarity with 232 and 301 trade measures.
Experience working with large multinational clients (e.g., Meta, ADTI, Toyota, Mercedes).
