The part-time assistant coach for men's and women's Tennis is responsible for assisting the head men's and women's Tennis coaches in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III men's and women's Tennis program at DePauw University. This includes recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, scouting, coaching, scheduling, budgeting and planning team travel in compliance with University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Along with the head coach, Implement and execute a comprehensive recruiting plan for the identification and recruitment of qualified student-athletes, and maintain an acceptable roster per the University Along with the head coach, develop and implement plans and strategies for practices and competition which result in athletics success. Mentor student-athletes to ensure athletics and academic success. At the direction of the head coach, make transportation and lodging arrangements for team travel Administer a fiscally sound athletics program. At the direction of the head coach, evaluate program effectiveness. At the direction of the head coach, monitor student-athletes' academic progression. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Experience: Collegiate playing experience in tennis is highly desirable. Must maintain certification in first aid/CPR/AED throughout the entire appointment. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Google Apps, Teamworks, other programs as determined by specific sport responsibilities Certificates & Licenses: A valid US driver's license is required. Certification in first aid/CPR/AED is required by the first date of appointment and must be maintained throughout the appointment.
