Position Overview We are seeking a commercially sharp and analytical Senior Supply Chain Executive to be based in the Singapore. This pivotal role acts as the primary strategic, financial, and operational bridge between the Singapore corporate office and our major manufacturing subsidiary in China. Instead of traditional logistics, this position focuses heavily on commercial finance, raw material costing, margin protection, and trading risk management to drive the efficiency and profitability of the China division.
Responsibilities
- Product Costing & Margin Analysis: Conduct end-to-end product cost calculations and contribution margin analysis for downstream food products, providing critical data to support strategic pricing decisions
- Export Pricing & Sales Support: Prepare competitive, profitable export quotations for the regional sales team by evaluating raw material cost components, processing margins, and dynamic market variables
- Risk Management & Position Monitoring: Manage FX hedging requirements and perform Mark-to-Market (MTM) analyses to safeguard the division against currency and commodity price volatility; maintain accurate inventory reconciliation
- Supply Chain & Factory Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with mainland China factory production, logistics, and scheduling teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and cross-border delivery
- Digital Transformation: Lead supply chain automation initiatives by utilizing advanced data tools like Power BI to build dashboards, eliminate manual data entry, and enable real-time, data-driven decisions
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Food Science, Accountancy, Finance, or a related analytical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of supply chain, trade execution, or commercial analysis experience, ideally within an agribusiness, food manufacturing, chemicals, or complex global commodities MNC
- High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and advanced Excel for data modeling and reporting automation. A solid understanding of trade finance, costing structures, or trading risk metrics is highly advantageous
- Professional fluency in spoken and written Mandarin/Chinese is preferred. The successful candidate must independently read technical production documents and influence cross-functional, mainland-based factory stakeholders daily
- A self-starter with strong commercial acumen, capable of operating independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced corporate environment
