About the role

The Insights product is a new offering for Guidepoint's Institutional investment and corporate clients, that offers teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events. The teleconferences live in a transcript library portal, which covers a wide of industries/topics that enable our clients to make informed decisions. All content features experts from Guidepoint's proprietary global network and is conceptualized and hosted by former investment professionals (i.e., private equity/hedge fund), sell-side equity research analysts, and industry professionals. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Insights team to execute teleconferences that will cover a wide range of sectors with focus on tech/media/telecom.
  • Might be required to monitor a coverage universe of private companies within the Greater China space.
  • Track key industry trends, material news flows, earnings releases, investor presentations, research in key coverage markets.
  • Identify and maintain a robust pipeline of company and industry specific topics - generate original ideas for discussion, covering business updates, event studies, channel checks, hot topics, and other investment narratives.
  • Proactively monitor pipeline of upcoming call topics so experts can be identified or selected 1-2 weeks before scheduled call date
  • Recruit new advisors to join the Guidepoint network, using a variety of outreach tools and resources provided. Communicate with potential experts via phone to answer questions or discuss/verify their credentials
  • Develop effective screening criteria for experts to test knowledge of subject matter; Review responses to screening questions from experts to gauge sufficient knowledge of subject matter
  • Ensure Guidepoint compliance policies and protocols are adhered to.
  • Work with research teams to identify and recruit additional industry experts to our Expert Network; Manage and further develop relationships with both experts and clients
  • What You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree, CFA or CPA is a plus
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience at a financial services or research firm with a focus on TMT sector or as a generalist.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to speak with people at all professional levels.
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated written and verbal abilities in English and Mandarin.
