Responsibilities

  • 8+ years of related experience in program, project management, and/or localization.
  • Localization Strategy: Demonstrated experience in crafting localization strategy and leading cross-functional initiatives to launch successful localized products.
  • Vendor Management: Experience collaborating with and managing localization and linguistics vendors to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Translation Management Systems (TMS), Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, machine translation, and content management systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English; ability to influence stakeholders and present plans to diverse audiences. Experience working in a highly cross-functional setting, driving results across various teams and time zones.

  • Thorough understanding of internationalization (i18n) and globalization (g11n) concepts and standards such as Unicode and CLDR.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI tools, machine translation (NMT), or LLMs to improve localization workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile development workflows, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with localization programs or project management with educational institutions and/or in the EdTech industry.
  • Master's degree in Localization, Linguistics, International Studies, Computer Science, or related field.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Product Program Manager, Localization to support Turnitin's global expansion. You will be responsible for transforming our localization program into a comprehensive strategic approach, ensuring our products, content, and experiences are seamlessly localized and culturally relevant for our international users. You will manage multiple product and program roadmaps with minimal supervision.
