This appointment may be extended at management discretion. Specialized Experience: For the GG-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GG-13 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: To qualify, candidate must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GG-13 in the Federal service which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience for this position includes: supporting and coordinating contract work, identifying and resolving issues through proactive work with the contractor and subject matter experts; assessing the productivity and effectiveness of contracts; serving as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for projects and working with teams towards the completion of large and complex projects; preparing requests for qualifications, proposal, and quotation documents; completing various forms used in the procurement process and maintaining related records; analyzing contracts budget data and provides independent assessments of program status; and researching and interpreting guidelines, rules, regulations, and policies. Education: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
