About the role
Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Anduril has brought to the market a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. Today, Anduril is executing on multi-million-dollar contracts while simultaneously performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing Maritime team in Boston or Quincy, MA. In this role, you will design and develop the core decision-making and autonomy software that powers our autonomous underwater vehicles. You will lead the architecture, implementation, and deployment of the logic that enables these systems to understand their environment, navigate safely, respond to obstacles or threats, and execute complex missions with limited human involvement. You will provide technical leadership and hands on contributions across software development, establishing a long term software roadmap, and leading the team through execution of that plan. Collaborating closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams from other Anduril products, you'll ensure that designs align with customer requirements while maintaining traceability to program office technical decisions. You will act as a subject matter expert in mission systems development and integration, presenting to customers and demonstrating overall system performance.
