This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:Performs diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols.Follows Health and Safety Policies and Procedures of quality patient care.Assists in record maintenance and statistics as requested.Participates in student training program as requested.Assists with special projects as requested.Supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects.Supports Lean principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change.Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.Utilizes AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) to prepare patients for procedures by creating an environment where the patients feel comfortable and communicated with regarding the experience in Radiology.Delivers customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient, and accurate.May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.EDUCATION:Required: High school diploma or GED. Graduate eligible and Registry eligible of an accredited Ultrasound training program.Preferred: N/ALICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:Required: Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry or Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics). Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA BLS/CPR).Preferred: Additional registry through ARDMS such as: Pediatric Sonography (PS), Vascular Technology (RVT), or Musculoskeletal Sonography (RMSKS).Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance
Additional Information
Pay range: $47.54 - $71.30 per hour, based on experience, in addition to shift differentials.
This role offers in-state or out-of-state relocation assistance for candidates with one year of relevant experience who have not worked at St. Charles Health System in the last year.
