About the role

DeepLight AI is a specialist AI and data consultancy with extensive experience implementing intelligent enterprise systems across multiple industries, with particular depth in financial services and banking. Our team combines deep expertise in data science, statistical modeling, AI/ML technologies, workflow automation, and systems integration with a practical understanding of complex business operations. DeepLight AI is a specialist AI and data consultancy dedicated to transforming the regional corporate landscape through bespoke, high-impact intelligent systems. Based in the UAE, we partner with organizations across diverse sectors-with a deep-rooted expertise in Financial Services and Banking-to bridge the gap between complex data and actionable business strategy. At DeepLight, we don't believe in "off-the-shelf" fixes. We deliver tailored AI solutions designed to integrate seamlessly into existing enterprise architectures, ensuring that innovation is both scalable and secure. From building robust data foundations to deploying sophisticated AI platforms, we empower our clients to lead in an increasingly automated world. The Lead AI Cyber Security Threat Intelligence Specialist is a senior position within Deeplight consultancy, deployed directly to a major banking client. Serving as a key advisor to the client's senior leadership, the role involves identifying, analysing, and mitigating security threats unique to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems. The position requires a balance of advanced technical threat intelligence, risk analytics, and professional advisory skills within a highly regulated financial services environment. Responsibilities Threat Analysis: Monitor, detect, and analyse emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors targeting the banking client's AI/ML infrastructure, models, and data pipelines. Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement proactive defence strategies, countermeasures, and security frameworks to protect AI systems against adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and model inversion. Stakeholder Advisory: Translate complex AI security risks into clear, actionable intelligence reports and briefings for senior leadership and risk committees. Incident Response Collaboration: Work alongside the client's existing Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Incident Response teams to investigate and remediate AI-specific security breaches. Strategic Contribution: Align Deeplight's delivery with the client's long-term security strategy, modelling high professional standards and technical excellence across all project workstreams. As an AI consultancy, our greatest asset is the expertise of our people. While technical mastery is the foundation of what we do, the ability to bridge the gap between complex data science and actionable business value is what defines your success with Deeplight. We're looking for individuals who are not only world-class in their fields of specialism, but also compelling communicators and persuasive advocates for their own skills. You will be the face of our firm, tasked with building trust, articulating the "why" behind your technical decisions, and effectively "selling" your vision to high-level stakeholders. If you thrive on the challenge of presenting cutting-edge solutions as much as you do on building them, you will fit right in. To be considered for this role, we need you to have: A minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused specifically on securing AI/ML workloads or advanced data platforms. Proven experience working with or within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 banking institution, navigating strict regulatory and compliance standards. Prior experience in a client-facing professional services or consultancy role, managing expectations and delivering structured project outcomes. Experience analysing complex cloud-based enterprise environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) where AI systems are deployed. An advanced understanding of AI-specific security frameworks, vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, MITRE ATLAS), and defensive engineering. Proficiency in collecting, processing, and analysing technical cyber threat intelligence within a corporate network environment. The ability to quantify and model security risks associated with deploying AI models in production, particularly regarding data privacy and financial compliance. The capability to communicate critical security risks to senior bank executives, regulators, and non-technical stakeholders. It would also be great if you have: Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or specialized AI/Cloud security credentials. Familiarity with Python, MLOps pipelines, or data science tools to better understand model vulnerabilities. A deep understanding of global financial regulations impacting AI, such as the EU AI Act or local banking authority guidelines. The benefits you'll enjoy as part of this role include: Competitive salary Comprehensive personal health insurance Visa
