Job Description This role provides strategic leadership in managing and expanding the Employee Voluntary Programme and the Humanitarian Disaster Support Programme under the Old Mutual Foundation. It focuses on designing and implementing initiatives that encourage employee participation in community development projects, coordinating volunteer activities, and ensuring alignment with the Foundation's social impact objectives. The role also requires the coordination of disastter relief initiatives with the Old Mutual Group in providing disaster support to communities, when required. The role demands strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to inspire and mobilize employees across the organization. The role also requires coordination of efforts in disaster relief efforts, ensuring exposure for the Old Mutual Brand. Role Description / Key Performance Areas: Leadership and Operational Support Develop and implement strategies to grow employee volunteer participation. Align volunteer initiatives with the Foundation's social investment priorities. Monitor and evaluate programme impact and recommend improvements. Plan and coordinate staff volunteer activities and events. Manage budgets and resources for volunteer programmes and disaster relief initiatives Cross collaboration within the Old Mutual Group to maximise brand exposure Identify and manage project risks Review existing operations and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvement outcomes are delivered. Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards. Relationship Building Build relationships with internal teams and external community partners. Act as the primary liaison for disaster support and volunteer-related communication and engagement. Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth delivery Personal Effectiveness Deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines. Demonstrate adaptability and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: This role requires a flexible and self-driven person, comfortable with ambiguity and with a very strong can-do attitude. A high level of integrity, maturity and confidentiality is required. The successful candidate should have strong communication, presentation, numerical and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field. 5+ years' experience in either corporate social responsibility, community upliftment or volunteer programme management. Strong project management and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels. Ability to engage with key decision-makers and policymakers Strong command of the English language, both in communication and in presentation skills. Knowledge of MS office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent social skills, able to operate with diplomacy, tact and empathy. A high degree of personal organisation, maturity and self-management.
