Position Title: Equipment Engineer, ECQ Operations - Day Shift Location: Summit West PURPOSE AND SCOPE The Equipment Engineer, Equipment Commissioning & Qualification (ECQ) Operations supports laboratory, clinical and commercial manufacturing operations at their home site. Working with minimum supervision, this individual executes routine tasks, applies analytical skills to solve problems, and may lead small to medium-sized projects. The incumbent will write deviations, support investigations, and assist with change control implementation. Must be available to support 8-hour day shift operations, 5 days per week. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Knowledge of cGMP, GXP, GAMP, SDLC regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, computer systems validation, and good documentation practices. Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical, manufacturing and laboratory systems and equipment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software and enterprise systems quickly. Working knowledge of scheduling and inventory management systems, including Blue Mountain RAM. Ability to interact effectively with Laboratory, QA and Facilities groups. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BS in Engineering or Science related discipline preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience in an FDA-regulated industry. Minimum 2 years of maintenance coordinating/planning experience, preferably in a laboratory environment. Experience with benchtop manufacturing and laboratory equipment (cell counters, liquid handlers, Flow Cytometry, UPLC, HPLC, etc.) preferred. Knowledge of cGMP in the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of calibration management and environmental monitoring systems. Experience working in a commercial environment preferred. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Execute and supervise equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, performance verification and repair activities in laboratory and manufacturing areas. Review and approve vendor-executed calibration, maintenance and repair records for accuracy, completeness and BMS compliance. Enter and maintain data in the site CMMS system; ensure all records are filed appropriately. Write and support deviations, investigations, and corrective/preventative actions related to calibration or performance verification failures. Support development, revision and review of procedures, calibration plans, and maintenance plans. Respond to customer equipment support requests; provide technical guidance on calibration and validation issues. Maintain all required Corporate, Facilities and EHS training; adhere to all safety procedures. May serve as SME during internal and regulatory audits. WORKING CONDITIONS (US Only) Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.; ability to sit, stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Will spend >70% of time in a laboratory or manufacturing environment; proper gowning/PPE required. Compensation Overview: Summit West - NJ - US: $35.76 - $43.33per hour The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
