  • In this role, you'll lead and evolve the Bank's risk management capabilities-while acting as a trusted advisor across the organization.
  • Lead Enterprise Risk Management
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework.
  • Ensure alignment with the Bank's Risk Appetite Framework and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain risk policies, governance, and standards that support effective oversight.
  • Strengthen Risk Oversight & Challenge
  • Provide independent oversight and challenge across business lines and risk activities.
  • Monitor risk exposures, trends, and emerging issues-escalating where appropriate.
  • Support clarity and effectiveness across the three lines of defense.
  • Advance Operational & Non-Financial Risk Management
  • Oversee frameworks related to operational risk, business continuity, incident management, and KRIs.
  • Monitor key non-financial risks, including cyber, third-party, and conduct risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement in control effectiveness and operational resilience.
  • Deliver Strategic Risk Insights
  • Develop clear, forward-looking risk reporting for senior management and the Board.
  • Translate complex risk data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support enterprise stress testing and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Lead, Mentor, and Build Capability
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing risk team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Support succession planning and talent development across the function.
  • What You Bring to the Table
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management within a financial services environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving results.
  • Post-secondary education in business, risk management, or a related field.
  • A recognized risk management designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the Canadian financial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and lead at a senior level.
