IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT The Ideal Candidate for the Labor Management Relations Examiner (Labor Relations Investigator) position would be an effective communicator interested in labor law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, which has provided them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the Labor Management Relations Examiner (Labor Relations Investigator) at the GS-09 grade level. Specialized experience includes: Experience completing legal research, interviewing witnesses, preparing sworn statements, reviewing and analyzing documentary evidence; and Experience drafting appropriate recommendations for disposition of unfair labor practice charges, and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements; and Experience preparing election agreements and/or stipulations for an election, conducts official elections. OR EDUCATION: Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position such as Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Personnel Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Labor Economics, Labor Law, Political Science, Accounting, or Law; or other education that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in these subjects. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
