Job Description: Description of Duties and Tasks Conducts functional testing on computer software programs to make sure the programs perform properly and are easy to use. Documents defects with steps to reproduce, screenshots and logs. Tests to assure the software being developed does not interfere with other software typically found on a computer. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. Reviews new or modified programs, including documentation, diagrams and flow charts, to determine if programs will perform according to user requests and conform to guidelines. Participates in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to stay aligned with development goals. Assists with developing policies and/or procedures as needed. Provides input on user documentation. Keeps current with the latest technology. Understands test automation best practices and develops automated test scripts.
