Job Summary
Work with the Sales Team, as instructed by the Head of Tendering, in the preparation of tenders and ensure adequate support to meet the company's overall business plans and strategies.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility to ensure that initiated projects meet company requirements in terms of selection, pricing, terms & conditions, and lead time.
Ensure application of Sulzer tools, policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and best practice guidelines.
Review inquiry documents and specifications, and prepare quality quotations on time using current tendering tools and procedures, independently or with guidance.
Analyze customer requirements, particularly for complex applications and products within the relevant market.
Develop suitable technical solutions in collaboration with specialist departments.
Consult customers and the sales team on pump applications, including preparation of specifications and configuration of pumps and accessories.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor offers and ensure proper expediting.
Cooperate with plants within the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit factory network.
Analyze and evaluate commercial and technical risks at the bidding stage, support negotiations with specialist departments, and develop approaches to minimize risks.
Prepare and present technical/commercial offers, support clarification meetings with clients, ensure successful handover to project teams, and maintain sales systems and data.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering
5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar or related role
Structured approach to work, with the ability to break down complex issues in collaboration with the bid team
Experience in at least one of the following areas: pump design, international tendering/sales, project management, or equivalent
Sound knowledge of pumps or rotating equipment and related accessories
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills are preferred
