Develop relationships and stay informed on best practices related to professional school pathways and admissions: Attend meetings and webinars as appropriate. Build and maintain a network among comparable institutions. Represent CNS and UT Austin at regional and national conferences.
Other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and four years of experience in higher education, counseling, academic advising, career services, or pre-health professions advising.
Demonstrated project management abilities, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and excellence in oral and written communication.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Capable of researching and developing content, interactive exercises, and applying effective teaching methods for topics in professionalism and health professions for credit-bearing courses.
Must be able to occasionally travel, including overnight travel. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Requirements
Specialized knowledge and experience within one of the CNS domains (Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computing, Math & Data Sciences, or Human Sciences).
Some knowledge of Life Design principles. Prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge of CNS policies, procedures, and majors, or experience working at The University of Texas at Austin, working with student populations.
