Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training. Daytona International Speedway seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Track Maintenance in Daytona Beach, FL. This position will support DIS racing events, track rentals and other events as directed. Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on racetrack and related infrastructure. Operate equipment and use tools as directed. Maintain the overall condition of the track, buildings, other facilities, and grounds. Basic office systems knowledge including but not limited to computer system & programs, 2-way radios, cellular phone. Microsoft Office suite knowledge preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in executing DIS events - major races, track rentals, other events. Assemble and disassemble track equipment such as track gates, barricades, portable bleachers, etc. Use all types of power tools and large equipment including forklift, front end loader, backhoe, bucket truck. Perform preventive building maintenance duties. Clean, repair, lubricate and maintain equipment, tools and machinery used for construction jobs. Use saws, hammer, nails and bolts for framing. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using equipment, picks, or shovels Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall and carpentry repairs. Participate in general cleaning, painting, and repair work. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida driver's license. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid CDL license.
