The Debit Product organisation is responsible for setting and executing the product strategy for FIS's debit processing platforms, supporting approximately 3,000 financial institution clients across North America, with ongoing expansion into Canada. The team focuses on platform evolution, client value, and responding to changes in the broader debit and payments ecosystem.
Responsibilities
You will lead the Debit Product team, shaping the product strategy and roadmap across debit processing, with accountability for platform direction, client outcomes, and delivery against business priorities.
Lead the long-term product strategy for FIS Debit, setting the direction for platform modernisation and future capability development
Define and prioritise the product roadmap in response to market trends, client needs, and changes in the debit ecosystem
Partner closely with the VP and senior leadership on commercial strategy, growth initiatives, and business planning
Lead and develop a US-based team of product managers and architects
Work cross-functionally with Technology, Sales, Client Management, and Operations to execute product initiatives effectively
Represent the Debit Product organisation internally and externally, including engagement with key clients, networks, and partners
Contribute to emerging areas such as digital enablement and agentic commerce, defining Debit's role within broader commerce and payments journeys
What you bring
Deep experience in debit processing, with a strong understanding of the US debit ecosystem and processing models
Significant product leadership experience within payments, fintech, or large-scale transaction processing environments
Proven ability to define and execute product strategy in complex, matrixed organisations
Experience partnering with senior commercial leaders, including contribution to revenue growth and investment decisions
Strong people leadership capability, with experience building, mentoring, and leading product teams
Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, Sales, and Client organisations
Added bonus if you have
Experience working across both issuer-facing and network-facing debit capabilities
Exposure to adjacent domains such as ATM, digital payments, or value added services
Experience supporting geographic expansion, including Canada or broader North American markets
Familiarity with modern product operating models and platform transformation initiatives
