Automotive Service Advisor

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing guidance and recommendations based on vehicle inspections and manufacturer guidelines.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate service orders with the service department to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Review service estimates with customers, explaining recommended repairs and associated costs, and obtain approval for work to be performed.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and efficient completion of repairs, while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Process payments for services rendered, including collecting payment, processing invoices, and preparing documentation for customer records.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service transactions, and vehicle service histories using dealership management software.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and service team members.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including dealership management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
