As a Clinical Administrator, you will: - Models & encourages professional practice that includes nurse autonomy, authority, accountability and responsibility within their unit. - Ope-rationalizes the strategic plan for the Nursing Administration department and the hospital. - Establishes expectations for staff and appropriately provides resources for care. - Adheres to and stays abreast of organizational policies and procedures; is a resource to nurses and others in the department and organization. - Demonstrates effective communication, conflict resolution, team building, and leadership skills, acting as the patient representative during evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. - Ensures that all infection control precautions and procedures are followed in the nursing department. - Conducts hospital nursing unit rounds to monitor census and staffing. Makes recommendations when appropriate. - Conducts daily bed huddles in Nursing Administration with nursing and bed-control staff to provide an overview of the current status of the hospital including admissions, surgeries, transfers, and discharges to facilitate throughput. - Investigates and assists in the resolution of significant events such as: near misses; adverse events; patient/family complaints; and, any situation that affects the safe delivery of patient-centered care in a timely manner. - Executes all other duties as required. Qualifications include: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree required, Bachelor's Degree required, MSN preferred. - Valid Maryland RN license required - Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Five years' work experience in acute care setting, 2 years in a leadership position - 2 years of supervisory/management experience required - Certification in department-specific area within the first year of the position Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/per week Shift Type: Nights Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar Shift Differential Eligible: Yes Pay Range: $39.96 - $59.94 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
