Job Summary: The Estate Planning Specialist I works in a team-centric environment to support the Estate Planning Specialists and other team members with fast-paced, document-intensive tasks. This role requires excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. Essential Job Functions for this role include: Reviewing and preparing deeds, assignments, and other funding documents Working with county recorders to ensure deeds and supporting documents are properly filed and fees are accurate Managing workflows and processes related to funding, and related tasks Assisting in the creation of entities, including preparation of formation documents and filings Preparing summaries of existing estate plans Support creation of estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, and entering data into legal document software Other duties, as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Paralegal Certificate required Knowledge of WealthDocs required Focused on proactive follow-up and follow-through Excellent organization, time management, proofreading, and word processing skills Adaptable and able to maintain confidentially with all matters Have a "can do" positive attitude while working well as part of a large team Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment Work Schedule: This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs. All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. Working Conditions: This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time.
